This course focuses on the philosophy of nursing as it relates to the respiratory client. Furthermore, the fundamentals of pathophysiology will be reviewed and common respiratory diseases will be introduced. Opportunities are provided for learners to integrate new and concurrent learning in regards to the philosophy of nursing as it applies to respiratory clients.
This course focuses on exploring various respiratory diseases. A case study approach will be used to facilitate understanding of the nursing care involved in caring for the client suffering from various degrees of respiratory disease.
This course focuses on the fundamentals of pharmacology and the assessment and management of pain and symptoms commonly experienced by a client with respiratory disease. Opportunities are provided for learners to reflect on the application of pain and symptom management. New and concurrent learning is integrated.
This course focuses on the study of various respiratory diagnostic tools available to health practitioners. Opportunities are provided for learners to integrate new and concurrent learning.
This course focuses on study and analysis of blood gases that affect respiratory clients. Opportunities are provided for learners to integrate new and concurrent learning.
